3. Old Business:
HHW:
Janice met with HHW sub committee to review vendors for the 2009 collections. Veolia Environmental Services was the vendor selected. They are based in MA and have the proper insurance. The parameters of the costs involved were discussed.
Motion to accept new vendor with cost adjustments noted was made by Ralph Eno and seconded by Rich Cabral. All were in favor.
It was suggested that electronics collections take place every other weekend, depending on budget constraints. Recommendation was made to DEP about twice monthly electronics collections. We may have to offset costs.
It was recommended that we keep electronics and HHW budgets separate. A proposal was made to have 10 HHW collections in 2009, but no number was agreed upon.
Janice said there was money in the Slam Fund; however, insurance is due soon.
4. Any Other Item:
The issue of regionalizing Probate Courts was reviewed. The general feeling is that regions should be set up in small towns to accommodate the citizens of the small towns.
5. Motion to Adjourn:
Motion to adjourn was made by Rich Cabral, seconded by Tim Griswold. All were in favor.
Respectfully submitted,
Pat Anthony, Clerk
